I am currently a third year student studying a BA (Hons) Fashion Design and Communication degree at Birmingham City University, graduating in July 2018. With 5 years experience in fashion retail and a year of experience in design and marketing, my background in fashion has developed my knowledge of the fashion industry, inspiring me to develop my career. I am a confident, creative and ambitious individual who is excited about this challenging, fast paced industry. Currently seeking a challenging opportunity in Fashion Design or Digital Marketing that will allow for progression and development of my current knowledge, skills and experience.

From my second year I have gained experience within; designing, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, illustration styles, fabric sourcing, trend forecasting, marketing and business skills. I have undertaken various projects where I have styled and organised my own photoshoots of my garments and editorial shoots.
I completed the sandwich year and gained valuable experience at Nicola Anne couture bridal wear and Tu clothing for Sainsbury's. My experiences developed my design skills as well as developing my marketing and branding experience.
For my third year at university i undertook three projects which were; brand creation, trend forecasting and my final major project. The final major project consisted of an AW trend, 18 piece collection with samples, look book, brand identity book, business plan and photoshoot/videoshoot. I created an ethical and sustainable brand called one way and collaborated with industry professionals.
During my first year I gained skills in: design, fabric sourcing, pattern making and cutting, industrial machines and the adobe software. My first year projects were solely design and trend based. I created my own conceptual fashion trends and experimented with the drape and qualities of fabric throughout my projects.
